PRAISE FOR THE EX-WHISPERER FILES

“Gabrielle St. George brings a fresh voice to Canadian crime writing which is simultaneously chipper yet chilling, and she introduces us to characters who are simultaneously engaging yet alarming-a perfect combination for a writer of psychologically suspenseful stories which are also fun to read.”

What can I say? What can I say? Gabrielle St. George has driven me to drink. Not once, but twice. I think it must be the great covers, but I always grab a drink and head to the pool. And I do love the cover of HOW TO KILL A KINGPIN. So Florida, which is funny because it is written by a Canadian. The whimsy of the covers gives a hint of what is insidea murder with a few laughs. Well, more than a few. It starts from the get-go with Gina Malone’s fun list of why one should not go to a high school reunion. All good reasons. No. 1“High school was not the highlight of your life.” Dah! And all the ones in between. It had never occurred to me that a former beau might be dancing in dad jeans. But it is No. 9 that gives one a pause: “Someone could get murdered, and you might be next.”

And that is just that start. Chapter 1 continues with Gina Malone visiting Toronto’s foodie section of town. There should have been a warning on the cover about not being hungry when you start reading. Think Uber Eats. (I do like that Gina points out that one should not worry about those extra eight pounds when one is eating Korean food…at least not while reading Gabrielle’s book!)

What can I say? What can I say? Gina is so much like Gabrielle(Does the CAP “G” give you a hint.) I like them both.

All I can say is read MY LIST belowreasons why you should read How to Kill a Kingpin, Book #2 in the Whisperer Files.

ABOUT THE BOOK

“It’s times like these when a gal’s got her ex-husband hiding inches away from her new boyfriend and a murdered man in rigor on the floor beside her that being good at lying would sure come in handy.” ~ HOW TO KILL A KINGPIN

Gina Malone, aka the Ex-Whisperer, is an expert on exes and bestselling relationship advice author, who meddles in people’s affairs for a living. She’s one part Stephanie Plum, one part Dear Sugar, and a newly divorced, empty nester who just turned 50. Our gal has pushed the fresh start button on a whole new life—Could be the world is her oyster, then again, pearls are known to bring bad luck.

It’s a not-so-happy Halloween weekend in Gina’s tiny tourist town on the Canadian shores of Lake Huron. Masses of Millennials, throngs of Gen Xers, and hordes of Boomers are converging for Sunset Beach High’s 150th-anniversary celebrations, plunging the Ex-Whisperer and her gal pals up to their necks in exes…
