OH, boy! Here come da’judge — that’s Judge Debra H. Goldstein — the coziest judge in history. She stepped down from the bench after a long and successful career, to pursue her passion: writing cozy mysteries that will keep you guessing to the end! And highlighting life in a small Alabama town, where everyone knows everyone and every once in a while a body turns up for her culinary-challenged slueth, Sarah Blair, to solve.
It was so much fun to talk to Debra about her lucky ‘5’ — the 5th book in her series — FIVE BELLES TOO MANY.
Debra is so delightful. She’s got all the charm of a Southern belle — with a touch of wicked humor and an eye for a good mystery. Five Belles is particularly fun as we get lots of Sarah’s mother, the famous Maybelle — known for her strong personality. To put it mildly. And, of course, RahRah her cat. How clever to get Maybelle involved in a reality show– where she is one of the finalists in a wedding competition. Right there you know you have a winner of a book! Readers will love Wheaton, Alabama — especially when a television film crew descends on the town. Nothing more exciting for a little town than a bunch of strangers!
A really fun read! And a wonderfully informative interview that gives you a peek at an author who has found the joy of writing and loves to share it with readers.
