Alistair Kimble – The Dashing Chap

PatZi & Alistair Kimble talk about writing, Bouchercon2019, and an exciting new project...

I had so much fun talking to Alistair that I kept him on for the entire program...here is Part 1...

Here is Part 2...

His life is an amazing story...

I love this guy! It's not every day that you get to talk to an FBI Special Agent. Of course, you don't want to talk to an FBI agent that often. Well, perhaps never! Unless you are the one doing the questioning.

So it was a real JOY to be able to ask Alistair Kimble about his love of writing. We met at Bouchercon2019 in Dallas. He stood out among the hundreds of authors who were there -- mostly because he looks like he stepped out of a noir film, but also because he was always smiling. With his hat and pocket square, he looks spiffy! Then I discovered that his website is called: TheDashingChap.com

Wow! It was so much fun for me to talk to him. He is so fascinating and has done so many exciting things in his career.  On his website he has a motto:

My Life...My Books...My Escape

Alistair co-wrote Iron Angels with NY Times bestselling author, Eric Flint.

It is a story about a bizarre kidnapping case that leads Special Agent Jasper Wilde into a mysterious world...

It doesn't take long for the FBI agents to realize that something is seriously weird about the situation...

And it won't take long for you to get hooked. It's an X-Files style story with a big dose of horror.

During our chat it occurred to me that the most interesting thing about Alistair is that he is truly his own best character. They should definitely make a television series about him. He has such depth -- it would be better than Kojak and Monk combined.  With his fascinating background I am sure there are a thousand stories he can tell. Listen to this fun interview and by the end of it, you will be checking out to see when a television series about his life is released.

About the Author

This is Alistair's Amazon bio -- of course, he has done lots of dangerous and secret stuff he can't write about...
