Such delicious fun! I was so happy to welcome Leslie Karst beck to Joy on Paper. Just a few months ago we talked about her wonderful book: Justice is Served: A Tale of Scallops, the Law, and Cooking for RBG, a memoir about creating a special dinner for the beloved Supreme Court Judge.
I enjoyed reading her newest release: A Sense for Murder, Book #6 in her Sally Solari mystery series. No one describes food better than Leslie. She relishes getting the descriptions to a mouthwatering level that makes the reader ravenously hungry! And she succeeds! By the time I finished the book I was ready fly out to Santa Cruz to find the French-Polynesian restaurant, Gauguin, that she describes. Luckily she includes recipes at the back of the book—so I got dressed and headed for the nearest farmer’s market to get fresh ingredients.
You will enjoy this interview with Leslie. She has a great laugh! And her enthusiasm for great food is inspiring. Leslie is an example of what JOY one can find after retirement.
