Well, it was pretty exciting to talk to a First Lady! I’ve spoken to a dozen Mystery Writer of America Grand Masters, several dozen global bestselling authors, over 200 NYT bestselling authors — lots of celebrities and even the US Poet Laureate — but it was very special for me to talk to a First Lady. Especially one from St. Petersburg, Florida!
Accidental First Lady – On the front lines (and behind the scenes) of local politics is a great read from a very talented writer. It is her first non-fiction book, but as I was reading Kerry’s story I kept thinking about how she can turn her fascinating life — from the time she was a kid — into a novel. Or a series of novels. She writes in a way that draws the reader into the story — her insights and observations are spot on — and her descriptions of events compelling.
You will enjoy this book. As I mentioned in this fun interview, I believe that we have not seen the last of Kerry Kriseman — the author. I’m already looking forward to her joining me in about a year to announce the release of her first novel!
