Wowsers! What a book!! SUPER BLOOM is a fantastic debut novel from a very talented author who knows how to tell a great story. Megan Tady is one lady you will never forget. Very witty and clever. Every time you hear Tom Jones siong She’s a Lady, think of Tady. She’s blooming good–-as we used to say in England.
And blooming is the right word for this novel set in a fancy-schmancy Vermont spa. (Blooming means thriving in health, beauty, and vigor.)
That’s where we meet message therapist Joan Johnston–who is still mourning the death of her fiancé two years earlier, overwhelmed with student loans, and worried that her employer is not happy with her work. Sometimes it is all too much for her–until a client at the spa offers her a way out. Carmen Bronze is a famous mystery writer and enlists Joan’s dig up juicy dirt for her next book, which is set in a spa. Of course, there are strings attached.
In a delightful twist and turn, Joan is reminded of her own love of writing and decides to write the book herself. With plenty of complications and a cast of interesting characters–including her Dad–this book is a winner. A perfect and refreshing break. Like a day at the spa.
Absolutely terrific–so settle down, relax, and enjoy. Once you read the first sentence, you won’t put the book down!
