So thrilled to talk to Cathy Ace — she is one of my favorite authors.. And as you can see from the photo below, Cathy is one of Pekka’s favorite authors, too. (We first met Cathy at the Vinoy Hotel during Bouchercon 2018. Pekka loves her because she is a hugger!)

She recently returned to Vancouver following her recent visit to the UK’s biggest crime fiction convention: Bristol’s CrimeFest.

This interview was so much — we just chatted away about all her books and about some exciting news for her great Cait Morgan series.. Pssst…she has a movie deal!

Book #12 in the series — The Corpse with Turquoise Toes — is the latest in the series. I love the cover — it is just perfect. In this book Criminal psychologist Cait Morgan and her retired homicide detective husband Bud Anderson are planning a quiet vacation in the Arizona desert. It doesn’t quite work out that way.  This is another of Cathy’s great multi-layered mystery thrillers. 

It was fun to hear about how Cathy kept herself busy during the pandemicky times — she used her time wisely. 

Oh, that reminds me — we also talked about her other series WISE Enquiries Agency mysteries. I love that series and even gave some BREAKING NEWS!
