This interview with Susan Shapiro Barash about her book, A PASSION FOR MORE, turned out to be very timely. Right now in the news there is a great deal of coverage about a royal affair–so the subject is on most people’s minds. But you don’t have to be royal to have an affair. In fact, according to the thirty years of research that Susan Barash has done, it is a lot more common than many people think. In fact, her numbers are rather shocking!

The book is sub-titled: Affairs that Make or Break Us. Her in depth research and the stories that she gathered over the years are quite astounding. There is a great deal in the book that will shock you and certainly make you think about the nature of wedded bliss. Or to often, lack of marital bliss. Get the book to see what percentage of people cheat….and why.

You will enjoy this interview as we discuss what she has discovered about interpersonal relationships and about her other books. It turns out she is also a novelist and writes a series that are set in Palm Beach. She writes under the name of Susannah Marren.  They are really great–she uses her years of research into human emotions to write compelling stories about love and marriage.
