It would have taken too much time to mention all his awards, but he sure has won a boatful. The Silver Falchion Award five times and the 2018 Killer Nashville Readers Choice Award. As well as the 2019 Best Book of the Year for Fistful Of Rain. He’s been a finalist for the Nero Award, the Lefty Award, the Foreword India Award, the 2016 Best Book Award, the Claymore Award—and even the Pacific Northwest’s Spotted Owl Award. (That one really impresses me because when I was a kid I spent hours research spotted owls!)
That might seem like a lot—but I think he should get another boatload full. He is a writers’ writer. Pure joy. He knows of what he writes and he knows how to paint a picture for his readers.
