It’s really true that I love Kathryn William’s laugh! She is a Senior Editor at National Geographic and has lots to laugh about–she spends all day looking at photographs! An interview with her is always fun–and when we got to talk about Weird but True World 2024, we both had lots to laugh about.
Everyone from 6 to 106 will love this book. Another triumph for National Geographic! Their books are designed to inspire children and they do.. Nowadays when kids spend too much time on devices, they need books like this. Books that will appeal to them in so many ways. First, of course, the photographs. For over 100 years, NatGeo photographers have captured the world with their photos. In this book, where we get to discover so many new places, new animals, and other fascinating things, the photos are what draw us in. But then the smart writing, the quizzes, the games, and everything else keeps us coming back for more.
I have spent many hours reading this book. It’s a JOY that keeps giving. No wonder Kathryn laughs so much. She has one of the world’s greatest jobs. She works for NatGeo and inspires kids to dream and imagine a wonderful world.
This book is not just for kids–it is also a perfect gift to give a Senior in your life. It is easy to read. Stimulating. Just what everyone at any age, needs to keep their mind active.
